Set Free From Bondage
Satan trades one man for two thousand pigs but that one man is worth far more than even six thousand pigs. He is worth more to Jesus than His own life. Satan kills the pigs in order to turn the people again Jesus, but in so doing everyone sees with their own eyes the great thing Christ has done. Satan fills the people with fear so that they run Jesus out of town, yet Jesus leaves behind the quiet voice which is a constant witness to His love and power.

Lead Us Not Into Temptation
Although Satan is the one doing all the tempting, not God, nevertheless God allowed it and even lead Jesus to the place. This was done so that Jesus could pass the test that we never could. The victory is ours in Christ. Nevertheless knowing our own weakness we pray that God would keep such temptation from us.
