Jesus Rejected at Nazareth
Jesus comes to proclaim that we are released from sin. With Jesus the proclamation of the gospel always comes first. Those who will not accept Him as a savior from sin have no part in Him. Jesus told Peter unless He washes his feet, peter has no part with Him.
We often like to hear God’s promises which are ours through faith in Jesus but we often get angry when scripture confronts us with our sin.
God’s law is sharp and it cuts deep, but God’s forgiveness heals.
Jesus is the great surgeon who cuts out sin and replaces it with God’s forgiveness. If we won’t let Jesus cut out our sin we also rejecting His healing.
