Tuesday February 25, 2020 Text: Matthew 17:1-9 Speaker: Pastor Matthew Ude Festival: Epiphany / Transfiguration Passages: Matthew 17:1-9
When they looked up they saw Jesus alone. No more mountain. No more trying to climb to God. Jesus came down to us. No more voice of the Father. No more terror in the presence of God. Monday January 13, 2020 Text: Luke 2:41-52 Speaker: Pastor Matthew Ude Festival: Epiphany Passages: Luke 2:41-52
In this text we see Jesus as the perfect human. He is what we ought to be: eager to learn the word of God, and de-lighting in the will of the Father. We have so badly failed to be and do what we should. But Christ has taken our place. He is the perfect human, so that we don’t have to be.
